3D Eye Scans

We like to call these 3D scans the “MRI” scan of your eyes. Glaucoma and macula disease can damage your eye health and cause permanent irreversible vision loss. These scans pickup any signs of disease to help preserve your vision.

Specialty Contact Lenses

We fit sclerals for keratoconus and post-corneal grafts, and orthokeratology (OrthoK) contact lenses for myopia control

Comprehensive Eye Exam

Our comprehensive exams are not rushed, we take the time to optimise your vision. We use advanced technology including 3D eye scans (OCT) and corneal topography to ensure your eyes are healthy. We dilate your pupils when indicated.

CASA Aviation Pilot Exams

We are a CASA credentialed Optometrist and report direct to CASA via the AVMED portal.

I’m Dr John Boulos

Dr John is the principal Optometrist at New Optometrists in the Enmore Medical Practice. He has an appointment as a VMO-Optometrist to the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse hospital in Camperdown. In this role, he provides ophthalmic care to patients who experience eyecare issues during their medical treatment and collaborates with the ophthalmologists at the Royal Prince Alfred hospital eye clinic to provide optimal eyecare and improved patient outcomes.
With expertise in optometry, ophthalmic pharmaceutical marketing, surgical planning, and clinical research, I approach patient care with a comprehensive perspective.
My experience supporting eye surgeons in cataract surgical planning has given me valuable insights into complex ocular conditions and the precision required for vision correction.
In medical affairs, I have managed clinical trials in ocular health, ensuring treatments and technologies meet the highest standards of efficacy and safety.
Unlike the chain stores, I take the time to provide thorough consultations, offering personalised solutions tailored to individual visual needs.

What to expect at your visit

At New Eyes Optometrists, we welcome patients of all ages. Our optometrist, Dr John will tailor an eye exam based on the reason of your visit and on his clinical findings on the day. We may dilate your pupils on the day of your eye exam.
