Orthokeratology · New Eyes Enmore
Sleep. Wake. See.
No glasses. No surgery. Just clear vision.
OrthoK lenses gently reshape your cornea overnight while you sleep — so you wake up with clear, natural vision all day long. No daytime lenses, no laser surgery.
Three simple steps to glasses-free days
The OrthoK Process
Each Night: Put in your lenses
Before bed, you insert your custom-designed OrthoK lenses. They’re worn only while you sleep – typically 6 to 8 hours – and work gently while you rest.
While you sleep: Your cornea reshapes
The lenses apply a precise, gentle pressure that temporarily flattens and reshapes the front surface of your cornea – correcting your refractive error as you sleep.
Remove & see clearly
Wake up, take out the lenses, and enjoy clear, sharp vision throughout your entire day – with no glasses, no daytime contacts, and no surgery required.
Why Choose OrthoK
The benefits speak for themselves
OrthoK has been used safely for decades, and the technology has advanced dramatically. At New Eyes, Dr John fits every patient with precision-designed lenses tailored to their corneal shape.
No daytime glasses or contacts
Wake up seeing clearly and go about your entire day without any lenses or glasses. The effect lasts 24 hours or more for most patients.
Slows myopia progression in children
Multiple clinical studies show OrthoK can reduce the rate of myopia progression in children by up to 50% compared to standard glasses – protecting their vision long-term
Fully reversible — no surgery
Unlike LASIK, OrthoK is completely reversible. Stop wearing the lenses and your cornea returns to its natural shape within days.
Safe and well-established
OrthoK has been used safely worldwide for over 30 years and is FDA-approved. Modern lens materials offer excellent oxygen permeability for overnight wear.
Ideal for active lifestyles
Sport, swimming, travel – enjoy full freedom without managing lenses during the day. Perfect for anyone whose lifestyle makes conventional correction impractical.
Protect your child's vision - before it worsens
Childhood myopia isn’t just about blurry vision — it’s a progressive condition. As myopia worsens, the risk of serious eye disease later in life increases significantly, including retinal detachment, glaucoma, and macular degeneration.

Reduction in myopia progression in children treated with OrthoK, compared to wearing standard glasses – according to peer-reviewed clinical studies.
OrthoK is one of the most effective myopia control strategies available. The earlier treatment begins, the more progression can be slowed — giving your child the best chance at stable, healthy vision.

Common Questions
Everything you need to know
OrthoK is safe, established, and surprisingly simple. Here are the questions Dr John gets asked most often at New Eyes.
Does OrthoK hurt?
No. OrthoK lenses are designed for overnight wear and most patients find them comfortable within a few nights. There’s typically an adaptation period of 1–2 weeks where vision gradually improves as the cornea reshapes.
How quickly will I see results?
Many patients notice improved vision after their very first night. Full correction is typically achieved within 1–2 weeks of consistent wear, depending on your prescription.
How long do the lenses last?
OrthoK lenses are durable and typically last 1–2 years with proper care before they need replacing. Dr John will assess the lenses at every check-up appointment.
Is it suitable for high prescriptions?
OrthoK works best for mild to moderate myopia (up to about -6.00 dioptres), and can also correct some astigmatism. Dr John will assess your suitability at your consultation.
What if I want to stop?
OrthoK is completely reversible. If you stop wearing the lenses, your cornea returns to its original shape within days and your vision returns to what it was before treatment.
How much does OrthoK cost?
Cost varies depending on prescription complexity and the lenses required. Dr John will provide a full cost breakdown at your consultation. Medicare does not cover OrthoK, but private health cover may contribute depending on your policy.
